4.5/5 got the oc galbi, carbonara, and the pork buns. what stood out to me most was that the galbi meat was very tender and flavorful, carbonara was perfect, and that they use good kimchi not my personal favorite but my bf really liked the pork buns too. some shortcomings imo - the soju cokctail tastes way too syrupy and overall not that good. the meat portions were pretty small considering price. the sides of coleslaw, corn, was just alright, not that great. service and ambiance was okay. not quite sure what vibe they were going for, lighting could be better. overall would come again for the food
We recently visited Dplace Steak & Pasta, and it was an absolute delight! The food here is phenomenal--definitely one of the best dining experiences I've had. We ordered The OC Galbi, which was completely unique and unlike anything else I've tried. The bibimbap was equally fantastic, bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. The ambience is warm and inviting, making the meal even more enjoyable. The staff were incredibly accommodating and friendly, adding to the overall great vibe of the place. Even though we're an hour away, the drive was absolutely worth it, and we're already looking forward to our next visit. We discovered this gem through Instagram, and it exceeded all expectations. If you're after exceptional food, a great atmosphere, and top-notch service, Dplace Steak & Pasta is a must-visit!
I've been wanting to try this spot for a year now, it was pretty good! The entire restaurant is perfectly dim for dinner time, loved the lighting they had around the entire spot. They have the smallest decor to make the restaurant have such a cool vibe. We ordered the OC galbi-korean (they did forget the sides, we didn't notice till we were almost done, then remembered and asked for it) Carbonara pasta- soooo good, definitely best when it first comes out hot, so eat that one fast before it cools down. We asked for scissors for the galbi, there was a lot of meat on the bone and then also to just cut the pieces into half since they're bigger.
Nice clean and modern decor. We came here to try the OC galbi but decided to simply start with the rose pasta and calamari. Both were very good. We will be back to try more dishes. The service was prompt and the servers were pleasant.
One of my most wanted to visit spots has now been checked off. I recently visited here on a date night and boy did dPlace deliver. First off, the staff were super attentive and friendly. The decorations and vibes around the restaurant were upscale and clean. They seem to be going for a more formal dining experience without needing all the formalities. Now, onto the food. We ordered the calamari, the Korean short rib and the rose pasta. Not a single negative thing could be said about any of the dishes. The calamari is a little different given they keep the calamari connected together, this makes the calamari more tender and juicy though! The short rib, like most people have said here, is to die for and the rose pasta is definitely a close second in terms of favorite dishes of the night. What an exceptional experience and one of my favorite date night spots to go to. If you're looking for a more luxurious experience without having to break the bank, dPlace has you covered!
Ambience here was quite nice like a cute little date spot. Lighting was a little too dark for my liking personally. The service was pretty good and they checked in at a good pace where it wasn't annoying. The food here was so damn good except for the risotto. It quite literally just tasted like .... someone scooped out rice and then poured sauce ontop of the rice. Their signature meat dish was amazing and juicy. The only difference between the American vs korean version is just the sides. The calamari was some of the best I've ever had. Recommend making a reservation. I have to say, this might be my new favorite restaurant! Intimate setting and lots of space in this restaurant! Servers are amazing and quick with service! They have robots to bring the food to the table but the servers will place it on the table. I have to say, I'm coming back to try the other dishes for sure because these dishes are 5/5 in every way possible. The OC galbi is one to definitely try! Flavors, meat tenderness and presentation is 5/5 Pasta options- so many to choose from!
Super solid korean italian fusion spot! We came in around 2 and we didn't have to wait. Staff is super friendly and the place is really clean. Food is super yum & the side dishes help balance the flavors. The owner gave us the burrata grapefruit dish on the house and i think it might've been my favorite. dPlace Steak & Pasta is good place to take the family. Our nieces love the place. Celebrated a graduation dinner there for family. The celebration was held in one of their rooms separate from the main dining area. Service was attentive and polite. Check out the cool robot roaming the restaurant. According to everyone, the food was terrific. Calamari for appetizer is a nice choice. I ordered Pescatore for myself. It was tasty, but I got to try something better. Their OC Galbi Korean is excellent! So flavorful!! My nieces are regulars, and they have so many favorite entrees like Rose Tteokbokki with Penne Pasta, Jjamppong Pasta, Creamy Seafood Risotto, and Rose Pasta. I think that Soup Plantation used to be where dPlace is located currently. I will always miss Soup Plantation, but dPlace is a nice consolation. To me, dPlace offers a cuisine that is a combination of Italian and Korean. I like it and the nieces love it!
